Chris Allen-Jones joined the firm in October 2015 as a Partner and Head of the Family Department. 

Chris has specialised in Family Law for 19 years advising clients in particular on the financial consequences of the breakdown of their relationships and the future arrangements for their children’s care. Chris also helps those contemplating cohabitation, civil partnership or marriage, advising in connection with cohabitation, pre and post nuptial agreements.

Chris is recognised in the Legal 500 as a notable practitioner in Family Law.

Like the rest of the firm Chris provides a highly tailored service to meet the needs of his client’s.

His clients come from a diverse range of backgrounds including members or spouses of the professions, service personnel and civil servants, but Chris mainly represents directors and shareholders of private limited companies or partners in business.

Chris’s clients are mainly from Birmingham, the wider West Midlands and London but he also acts for people living abroad in connection with family issues pertaining to English Law.

He has a wide variety of outside interests and, amongst other things, is a member (and former committee member) of Resolution; a member of the Birmingham Law Society (and former committee member of the Family Law Committee); Director of a School Trust; District Councillor, and Trustee of a local arts centre.

Chris is a keen golfer and a member at Edgbaston Golf Club and  he also plays  tennis and racquetball and is a member at Edgbaston Priory Tennis Club.
