It is an unfortunate fact of life that from time to time medical accidents do occur and very often those are due to the demands placed upon the resources of the National Health Service and those who work within it.

 

Such accidents occur when treatment falls below the standards which patients may reasonably be entitled to expect from their doctor or clinician.

 

If treatment falls below the appropriate standard, then in such cases a hospital doctor, dentist or other employee of a Health Authority may be held responsible for any injuries arising from that accident and you may be entitled to compensation.

 

Such mistakes may take the form of a lack of clinical judgement, diagnosis, treatment or harm caused by the negligence, incompetence or inadequate staffing resulting in a lack of care arising.
